Get to Know Edgewood Community
Located in small town Wisconsin, the story of Edgewood Community Church is unique. It was planted in Waupun, a community of about 12,000 people, but over time they have organically grown to become a church with four campuses and about 1,200 people. This Elder-led body embraces the call to reach people and to develop them in the faith. To this end, the values of Edgewood, “Gospel, Community, Mission,” shapes and propels the ministry. The staff who help lead the ministry charge are a unified and healthy group of Christ-followers and demonstrate their love of Jesus and the church. The church is theologically conservative, and leans Reformed in theology but practices a graciousness toward people from various backgrounds. The energy is contagious, the commitment is high, and Edgewood is motivated to reach new heights for the gospel’s sake.
The Church
Affiliated with the EFCA, Edgewood Community Church is vibrant and family oriented. The church averages 1,200 attenders over four campuses which are distributed over a large area of north central Wisconsin from Waupun to Fond du Lac to Sheboygan and to Beaver Dam. The worship is contemporary and tailored to meet the needs of each location which meet at a variety of times on Saturdays and Sundays. The church enjoys expositional preaching from its long-tenured and personable pastor. They are a financially solid and healthy church.
The Location
Edgewood Community Church is best described as rural to small town. It is a beautiful geographic region with lush countryside, beautiful trees and bountiful lakes. The people are friendly, authentic, down-to-earth and modest. The communities served by Edgewood are safe, offer access to modern conveniences and provide good schools. In addition, because of the proximity to Milwaukee and Madison, major league baseball, excellent performing arts and the activities and interests of a Big 10 campus are only a little over an hour away. The cost of living is affordable and is a wonderful place to raise a family.
Other things to get excited aboutA Flourishing Campus
Our Beaver Dam campus has experienced incredible growth, doubling in attendance over the last 18 months after being planted in 2019. We’ve recently completed a major milestone by purchasing and renovating a permanent building, including significant tech upgrades in our worship center, in January 2024. In September 2024, we moved to two Sunday services to accommodate the growing congregation.
A Church That Cares for Its Leaders
At ECC, we believe in the importance of spiritual health for our leaders. While personal soul care is each individual’s responsibility, we actively support this through intentional practices, such as encouraging life group participation, mentorship pathways, and monthly spiritual retreat days for the Worship/Youth Pastor.
A Collaborative Pastoral Team
You won’t be in this alone! The ECC pastoral team values camaraderie and collaboration. You’ll be welcomed into a supportive community that’s committed to helping you thrive personally and pastorally. You can count on encouragement, resources, and open conversations to help you develop in this role and as a follower of Christ.
