We are seeking a pastor who believes as Central Christian Church members do; that preaching and teaching must come from sound Biblical principles. It would be beneficial that he/she is able to relate those Biblical principles to current situations and daily problems of today.
It is important for our pastor to provide care and relate to all ages including the youth, young adults, and elderly. Hospital and in-home visitations would be required when needed. Working with the youth group would be a definite plus.
We would also ask that our pastor be active in civic and community activities, including the Ministerial Alliance.

General Information: Fairview has a population of 2,594 and is located in a conservative rural community in northwest Oklahoma. It is the county seat of Major County; where principal livelihoods are agriculture, ranching, and a large presence of energy (oil and gas.) Our area provides endless opportunities for a family to enjoy quiet rural living. We have a top-rated public school system, and a Regional Medical Center and hospital in our community. For entertainment, we have a wonderful aquatic center, a newly remodeled Royal Theater, and the Gloss Mountain State Park is right out our back door. Fairview is an ideal place to raise a family and/or to retire.
The Church: Central Christian Church has a history of serving Christ for over 100 years. We believe that Jesus is the son of the Living God, and the Holy Bible is our guide for living. Our conservative views stem from our beliefs in following the scripture. We have a traditional style of worship, and we realize the importance of the Lord's Supper and the benefits to the congregation of this weekly sacrament.
We currently have 75 members, and of those 40-60 are active. Our church has committees, a church board, elders and diaconate. Central Christian Chuch is a loving church with an attitude towards service. Outreach opportunities in our community are important to our congregation. We have service groups such as Christian Women's Fellowship, a Taco Tuesday lunch program for high school students, and a yearly Fall Festival.
We have an attractive 3-bedroom/2-bathroom parsonage available. It is in excellent condition and is located in a nice, quiet housing addition. We also have a large bus barn with significant storage and a church van.
