We are a church in Aurora, CO looking for a man or woman of God that is passionate about seeing Jesus worshiped and the Gospel changing lives through out songs and our words. Our church is in the Murphy Creek Neighborhood and we seek to make the name of Jesus famous starting in the Murphy Creek, the surrounding neighborhoods, and ultimately reaching the world right here at home. Our church is made up of about 60 people on a Sunday and small groups through out the week. We are mostly younger families, but our congregation does range in age from 0-65 years. We are looking for someone to join our mission and lead our worship team and audio visual team. There is also the opportunity to give leadership to our youth program as well if the candidate desires. The ideal candidate will possess a growing relationship with Christ, a deep love for the Gospel, strong leadership and communication qualities, and a passion for mentoring individuals of all ages. The candidate should also be able to play guitar or piano, as well as sing. Our church mostly has a contemporary style of worship but the ideal candidate would have an appreciation for some of the hymns of the past and be willing to introduce and integrate them into our contemporary worship service.
Responsibilities
Select the worship songs (working with the Lead Pastor)
Create and Build Worship Songs and Worship Service Slides (using the platform ProPresenter)
Would be in charge of scheduling for the praise team members (using the platform Planning Center)
Lead the worship team practices
Will weekly be part of the set up and take down team
Will Lead the worship time during our worship gatherings
Will Oversee and Train the Audio Visual volunteers
Will seek to always be recruiting, training, and encouraging others to be part of the worship and audio visual team
Qualifications
A Heart to See Jesus Worshiped Above All
Able to understand, explain, and share the Gospel in song and in words
Gifted to sing and play in a way that creates an environment for the word of God to preached and for the church to worship our God
Willing to learn and play theologically sound and popular songs of today but has a respect for the past and seeks to find ways to introduce and implement hymns, creeds, and prayers in a meaningful and intentional way
Has good communication skills, both verbal and written
