Adult Ministries Pastor

The Adult Ministries Pastor is responsible for creating, managing, and executing the aspects of Trinity Church that make disciples and encourage Christian maturity. This includes Adult Ministries, Community Groups, equipping and training leaders, overseeing the discipleship pathway, preaching and pastoral care. Additionally, he shall assist the Lead Pastor in carrying out daily service practices of Trinity Church. This position is an extension of Trinity Church and its mission. (Matthew 22:37-39; 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; 1 Peter 5:1-4).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand, teach and communicate Trinity's beliefs, implement Trinity's mission and priorities in his ministry area (II Timothy 4:1-2, Ephesians 4:11-16)
• Develop, oversee, and recruit for Sunday morning adult classes for the purpose of growing believers in biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity.
• Champion and strengthen Trinity’s Community Group ministry.
• Provide leadership to men’s and women’s ministry.
• Oversee discipleship pathway to ensure consistent strategy, execution, and sound theology among Trinity ministries.
• Preach on a semi-regular basis (8-12 times/year).
• Recruit, shepherd, and lead a healthy volunteer team. 
• Responsible for ministry planning, development and execution. 
• Develop, implement, and steward an annual ministry budget. 
• Assist the Lead Pastor in life of the church events and religious practices (funerals, weddings, communion, baptisms, care visits, counseling, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Must be a growing Christian, deepening his personal relationship with Jesus Christ and modeling this to others. (Matthew 22:37-39; 28:19-20; Romans 12:9-18).
• An in-depth knowledge of the gospel, its implications in everyday life, and a commitment to making disciples who make disciples. (Romans 1:16-17; Matthew 28:19)
• Agree with, is willing to abide by, and perform all job responsibilities in accordance with Trinity's mission, priorities, values, and Statement of Faith. (I Corinthians 12:12)
• General computer competence and experience with MS Office.
• Shall have, or be pursuing, credentialing with the EFCA within 3 years.
• Ministry degree or 2 years’ experience in related field. Seminary degree preferred.
• Ability to travel for visitation and conferences/training.
• Organized, flexible and self-motivated.
• Proficient preacher and teacher.
• Ability to recruit and equip new leaders.
