About the Senior Pastor: 

Dorado Beach Church is seeking a passionate, Spirit-led Senior Pastor to lead and shepherd our growing congregation. The Senior Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance, preaching the Word of God, overseeing church ministries, and equipping the church body for outreach and discipleship. The ideal candidate will have a heart for evangelism and community engagement, as well as the ability to relate to and inspire people from diverse backgrounds.

The Senior Pastor Responsibilities Include: 

• Preaching and Teaching:

  • Prepare and deliver biblically sound, relevant, and engaging sermons on a weekly basis.

  • Teach and guide the congregation in spiritual growth through Bible studies, small groups, and other learning opportunities.

  • Ensure the teaching is aligned with the church’s core beliefs and mission.

• Leadership and Vision Casting:

  • Provide visionary leadership for the church, setting a clear direction aligned with the church’s mission and vision.

  • Collaborate with the church leadership team to develop and implement ministry strategies that foster church growth and community engagement.

  • Lead with integrity, modeling a Christ-centered life in personal and professional conduct.

• Pastoral Care:

  • Provide pastoral care, counseling, and prayer to members of the congregation, helping them navigate spiritual and life challenges.

  • Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other significant life events for members of the church.

  • Be present and accessible to the congregation, building meaningful relationships within the church body.

• Community Engagement and Outreach:

  • Develop and support outreach initiatives that connect the church to the local community and beyond, reaching the unchurched and unsaved.

  • Lead efforts to build relationships with local organizations, ministries, and community leaders to serve and impact the Dorado area.

• Ministry Development and Oversight:

  • Oversee and support the various ministries of the church, ensuring they align with the church’s vision and mission.

  • Mentor and equip ministry leaders and volunteers, fostering a culture of discipleship and servant leadership.

  • Facilitate the training and empowerment of church members to actively engage in ministry and outreach efforts.

• Administrative Leadership:

  • Work with the leadership team to manage the church’s finances, resources, and operations with transparency and stewardship.

  • Ensure proper administration of church functions, including strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Lead or participate in church meetings and provide updates on the church’s direction and progress.

     

What You Bring: 

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Senior Pastor:

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is required

• Seminary degree preferred

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) would be a bonus.

• 7 - 10 years of senior leadership teaching role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to pastoral ministry.

• A proven entrepreneurial spirit and mindset.

• Proven experience as a Senior Pastor or similar pastoral leadership role.

• A passion for evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach.

• Ability to communicate the Gospel clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire volunteers.

• Excellent communication with everyday application from God’s Word.
