Title: Associate Pastor
Scope of Job:
- This job is an opportunity to be involved in every level of church leadership including pastoral care, counseling, administration, vision, small groups, ministry team training, preaching, teaching, and facilities. You will work closely with the pastor to be exposed to and assume responsibilities in these areas.
- Our ideal candidate will have successful church ministry experience, perhaps a proven track record as a youth minister, and is ready to start a transition to adult and/or pastoral ministry. They seek a place to serve and be mentored by a seasoned leader, as well as be exposed to all areas of church leadership.
Development Opportunity:
- The role will include regular opportunities to preach (min of quarterly), and teach series in midweek Bible studies.

- Our Pastor, Ray Hewitt, has over 30 years of experience leading our church. He has a heart to mentor and develop the next generation of leaders and is willing to guide our associate pastor to set them up for future success.
DESIRED QUALITIES
- Either obtained or in the process of obtaining your License or Ordination with the Assemblies of God.
- A completed 4 year degree from a Christian college in an area related to ministry.
- Has at least 3 years of accumulated church staff experience serving as a Youth Pastor, or Associate
- Hardworking and self-motivated

- A loving gentle heart and listening ear, characterized by grace and humility.

- Able to take responsibility when called upon in areas of Preaching and Teaching, Pastoral Care, Leadership, Vision, Staff Supervision, Board, Church, and Volunteer Administration
Compensation and Expectations, Benefits:
- This is a full-time job with a salary range of $55-69k based on experience.
- Health insurance reimbursement, up to a limit of $1500/month.
- Associate Pastor expected to fill 32 hours per week of office, planning, studying, visiting, counseling, and preparation time, and 8 hours per week of additional ministry time which includes evenings, visitations, mid-week teaching, Sunday morning, and urgent situations.
- One weekday will be arranged as a personal sabbath rest day.
- Relocation assistance will be negotiated.

- The church started from a home group in the early 1990s and moved to a storefront. Our current pastor began in 1994.
