Overview of Ministry
It is our goal to reach high school students in our community and to help them learn to trust and follow Jesus during one of the most vital developmental phases of their lives. The high school ministry coordinator provides strategic ongoing support to strengthen our ministry to this age group. This position works in close collaboration with and under the oversight of our Director of High School Ministries to create a cohesive strategy for high school outreach and discipleship.
Purpose
To provide ministerial, logistical, and programmatic support for the high school ministries of Community Presbyterian Church.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Spiritual Growth: Commit to personal spiritual and professional growth, striving to visibly and authentically live out your faith in ways that influence and inspire others.
- Mission Alignment: Actively contribute to our church’s mission of “Reaching People. Following Jesus” by guiding students to live this out through worship, connection, and service.
- Weekly Program Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of weekly high school ministry programs, including regular setup/breakdown tasks and occasional teaching responsibilities.
- Volunteer Engagement: Provide the communication and support needed for our volunteers to thrive in ministry and stay aligned with our vision.
- Event Leadership: Collaborate on the planning, organization, and oversight of camps, retreats, and other special events.
- Program Development: Assist with year-round program development to create meaningful and consistent ministry opportunities for students.
- Communications Support: Facilitate clear, effective communication with students, parents, volunteers, and staff via texts, emails, and social media.
- Camp, Mission Trips, and Retreat Support: Work with the director to develop, plan, implement and run our offsite ministry events.
- Database and Website Management: Maintain and update the Student Ministry database and monitor our website to ensure accurate and accessible information.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall health and mission of the ministry.

Terms of Employment
- 20 hours/week-non-exempt
- Pay range $22.00-$28.00/hr
- Benefits: paid vacation time, paid sick time and retirement program offered
