Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the Pastor’s supervision, plans, promotes, implements, and evaluates an approved comprehensive program of Music Ministries. To include but not limited to the following:
a) Praise Team Vocalists along with Special Music
b) Accompanying Instrumentalists - Develops, conducts and coordinates related various music programs in the church for all age groups. Directs the music for worship services, special occasions to include but not limited to funerals, weddings, and revivals.
- Supervises all accompanists to include coordination and replacement of during times of absence.
- Will be responsible for the care and upkeep of musical equipment.
- Enlist and use the talents within the church to participate in the music ministry.
- Works with the Pastor, church members and various committees to determine and evaluate the overall direction of music ministries that will serve to encourage the spiritual development and the enhancement of worship in music.
- Develops, conducts, and coordinates training programs for volunteers, workers and others involved in the music ministries of the church. Supervises all volunteers and serves as staff contact for those involved in music ministries.
- Duties as Community Coordinator:
a) Serve under the supervision of the Pastor as staff contact for volunteers involved in various community activities.
b) Actively participates in the outreach and visitation ministries.
c) Plan and promote community activities
d) Outreach events include but are not limited to:
Fair On The Square
Fall Festival
Walker County Fair - Attends deacon’s meetings as requested and advises them regarding various phases of music ministry.
- Participates with various committees in preparation of budget projects for music ministry. Advises the church (directly and through committees) of music needs to include physical space requirements, equipment, and supply needs; orders, receives, checks
and distributes approved appropriate literature, supplies and equipment for the music ministry.
- Works as a team member with all staff and volunteers to ensure harmony and positive spiritual growth in the church.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
Northside Baptist Church has a strong presence in our local community and are involoved in many local events with various organizations including our local school district. This position, in addition to being our lead Worship Pastor, would serve as the
staff contact and coordinator for local outreach opportunities.
