Overview:
The Associate Worship Leader will provide leadership for both our college and student worship services by planning, conducting and evaluating those experiences and making sure they embody the mission and vision of Connection Church. The position will report to our Worship Pastor and serve alongside our college and student ministry staff and interns.

• Profess and demonstrate a passionate and deep faith in Jesus Christ
• Have a heart to see people connected, equipped, and sent
• Commitment to personal spiritual growth and healthy lifestyle
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to lead and influence a young worship team
• Musically skilled as a vocalist and as an instrumentalist
• Prior experience leading a worship ministry in some capacity.
• Proficient with Ableton and other tools and technology we use on a weekly basis.
• Works well with a team
• Very organized and strong attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities
• Reports directly to Worship Pastor
• Lead and facilitate all worship gatherings for Next Gen worship gatherings. (Weekly on
Wednesdays for College Night and Monthly on Sunday Night for CS Live
• Select songs and arrangements for all Next Gen worship services.
• Establish goals and objectives for Next Gen worship and initiate strategies to fulfill them.
• Recruit, train, and develop worship team vocalists and musicians for Next Gen Worship.
• Provide training opportunities for Next Gen worship team members.
• Assist the production ministry area as needed.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of worship and production team nights twice a year.
• Occasionally lead and serve on Sunday mornings as needed.
• Participate in the selection of worship resources, and remain up-to-date on new resources for the
Next Gen worship ministry.
• Participate in songwriting, arranging, and recording for Connection Music
• Perform administrative duties such as compiling reports, and completing purchase orders.
• Additional duties may be assigned by Worship Pastor as needed
Connection Church began in 2008 with 7 people in a pond house with a desire to see our community changed. Since then we have planted 8 churches and seen countless lives changed because of the Gospel. We try to keep things really simple as a church and let the main thing be the main thing, that it is all about Jesus!
