Position Overview:
The Worship Leader will be responsible for leading our worship ministry, creating an environment where congregants can encounter God through music and worship. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for leading worship, a strong understanding of music and liturgy, and the ability to inspire and engage a diverse congregation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the worship services, ensuring a spirit-filled atmosphere.
- Select and arrange music that aligns with the church's vision and message.
- Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and technical staff.
- Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan worship services and special events.
- Develop and implement creative worship experiences that engage the congregation.
- Foster a culture of worship within the church community through workshops, rehearsals, and outreach.
- Engage with the congregation, encouraging participation and spiritual growth.
- Stay current with worship trends and incorporate new ideas that resonate with our community.
Qualifications:
- A strong personal faith and commitment to the mission and vision of the church.
- Proven experience in a worship leadership role, preferably in a church setting.
- Excellent musical skills (vocal and instrumental) and familiarity with a variety of worship styles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Experience in leading and developing teams, with a focus on collaboration and encouragement.
- Proficiency in music technology and sound equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Worship Arts, Theology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
