Job Description:
The Worship Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading worship services. This role involves collaborating with the teaching elder, worship team members, and other ministry leaders to create services that are Christ centered. Will be involved in disciple-making with his team and others in the church.

Key Responsibilities:
 • Plan and lead weekly worship services, including song selection, rehearsals, and coordination with other service elements.
 • Recruit, train, and disciple worship team members, including musicians, vocalists, and technical support.
 • Develop and implement a vision for worship that aligns with the church's mission,values, and distinctives.
 • Collaborate with the teaching elder to integrate the whole service thematically. 
 • Manage the worship department budget and resources. 
 • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of musical and technical equipment. 
 • Stay current with worship trends and introduce new music and worship practices as appropriate.
 • Reports to the Teaching Elder. 
 • Works with the ministry staff to shepherd, teach, and disciple the church at large.
 • Leads the congregation in corporate worship when possible. 
 • Lead, create & execute the graphics & video projects/teams. 
 • Develop, create, and execute regular communication within worship gatherings, as well as through the website, social media, the weekly email, prayer cards, and other new tools as deemed helpful.
 • *Ability to write original songs is a plus. 


 Qualifications:
 • A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for worship. 
 • Strong foundation in theology. 
 • Proven experience in leading worship in a church setting. 
 • Proficiency in playing an instrument (guitar, piano, etc.) and strong vocal ability.
 • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 
 • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of volunteers and staff. 
 • Ability to play with in-ears. 
 • Compelling up-front communication and leadership skills. 
 • Ability to read chord chart & number chart. 
 • A heart for discipling and developing others in their musical and spiritual gifts.
 • Familiarity with contemporary worship music and traditional hymns. 
 • Technical knowledge of sound systems, multimedia, and worship-related software is a must.
 • Must become a member (in good standing) of The Grove. 


Education & Experience:
 • Undergraduate degree, preferred 
 • 3+ years of ministry experience
