Position: Part-time Women's Ministry Director
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Part Time: 24 hours per week
Pay: Pay to be Determined based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate
Position Overview:
Support, Shepard, and Oversee the participants and leaders within the Women’s Ministry Team, to create environments where congregants can grow in community with others and in their relationship with Christ. This person should have a strong desire to support, love, mentor, encourage, and have a presence within the church and women of all generations within the church. This also includes developing the vision and implementation of ministry planning, promotion, leader recruitment, leader training, and collaboration with other departments.
Ministry Responsibilities Women’s Ministry:
- Shepherd the women by reaching out to those who are coming to the church, various women's Bible studies, and new women who visit the church.
- Support the leaders of Tasting Room and Coffee Break Women's Bible studies. These are studies that both meet on Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. Leadership is done by the leadership teams of each ministry. Women's Ministry Director will support the current operations and implementation of these ministries.
- Support MomLife leadership and cultivate meaningful relationships.
- An awareness of Riverview Ministries as a whole, in order to encourage women to be involved in other ministries for spiritual growth.
- Organize and calendar women’s ministry groups and events in conjunction with the larger church calendar to limit conflicts and maximize ministry impact.
- Plan, organize, and implement an annual Fall Kick Off Luncheon, Christmas dinner, and Spring Luncheon, as well as a women's ministry retreat every two years at least.
- Cast vision, plan, and execute ministry events specific to women at Riverview
General duties:
- Shepherding skills, strong people skills, and knowledge of the Word of God are a must. Experience and skill in teaching the Bible highly desirable.
- Evaluate all groups and events for effectiveness and success.
- Manage budget and allocate funds for ministry functions such as materials, events, and childcare costs.
- Participate in meetings, worship services, retreats, and conferences as requested by the Supervisor and/or the Senior Pastor
- Participate in weekly staff team meetings.
- Be actively involved in Riverview church life (i.e.: attend Sunday services, participate in all-church meetings, conferences, etc).Pay to be Determined" based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate
