Music Director – Job Description:
The Music Director builds and oversees the corporate worship at Immanuel Bible Church by directing both the praise and worship team, as well as the Audio-Visual team in biblically and theologically abiding, heartfelt worship. Additionally, the Music Director casts a vision for the passion of worship through music in the private lives of the congregation. Utilizing musical talent and leadership, the Music Director plans worship services in harmony with the pastoral message by selecting and arranging gospel-centered music, faithfully training volunteers during regular rehearsals, and enthusiastically leading the congregation during Sunday’s praise and worship time.
Benefits:
- Work Schedule: Part Time, 15-20 hours per week.
- Salary: Commensurate with experience. Range $20,000- 28,000/year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Worship Planning
- Align music worship goals with overall vision for church growth.
- Recruit and organize volunteers to serve in the Worship Ministry.
- Coordinate worship service with the Audio-Visual team and church secretary for scheduling Welcome, Announcements, Scripture Readings and other presentation material.
Worship Leading
- Give oversight and direction to regular rehearsals of praise and worship team.
- Inspire and train musicians and musicality within the congregation.
- Arrange and execute weekly and special worship services.
Administrative
- Must be a Christian able to clearly communicate his/her conversion testimony.
- Must agree with the Articles of Faith of Immanuel Bible Church.
- Must exhibit exemplary character and deep abiding faithfulness in Jesus Christ.
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must communicate and relate well with church members and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability in worship arts that include professional quality sound board and live-stream capabilities.
- A. in Worship, Worship Leadership, or Music as well as musical training and experience in arrangement and execution of corporate worship preferred.
- Experience with ProPresenter, Easy Worship or similar software is highly desirable.
