Job Description:

Mission: To provide craftsmanship through videography to tell stories of and to the community of CrossWinds Church in a compelling way that communicates the mission and vision of the church.

Outcomes:

  • Communicate the weekend’s Big Idea to the people of CrossWinds Church through video, both for use in service and online.
  • Take part in all creative brainstorming sessions, thus having voice and influence into how we communicate the Big Idea to our community.
  • Develop and keep a consistent tone, look, and feel for how stories and videos are made here at CWC.
  • Develop and keep a consistent tone, look, and feel for how CrossWinds Church’s weekly worship gatherings look, including (but not limited to) staging, lighting, and other environmental aspects.
  • Point person for upkeep and implementation of film/live video equipment in use at CrossWinds during week and weekend gatherings
  • Develop, train and mentor a team of like-minded volunteers who serve CrossWinds Church in both the film and tech areas.
  • Work with Communications team to create video content for social media.
  • Cut away and eliminate unnecessary process and time-eaters to streamline our weekly video needs.
  • Elevate current standards for producing videos and creating live environments that fall in line with the mission and feel of CrossWinds Church.

  • This role requires a high level of creative thinking and execution in a timely fashion.
  • This individual is able to translate direction into creative images and thematic elements.
  • This person must be a storyteller through videography.
  • Attention to detail is what makes this person tick.
  • This person wants to get better at what they do everyday, and be willing to learn and develop consistently.
  • Communication and innovation will be required daily.
  • Deadlines do not frighten this person.
  • Teamwork is imperative.

Helpful Backgrounds & Experience:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Premiere/Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects/Current NLE platform.
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in different filming equipment.
  • Interpersonal Communications and a journalist spirit.
