PURPOSE OF EFC
To provide deep, biblical teaching and training for the whole family to learn and grow in Christ – Together.
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of our paid ministry staff, the Youth Pastor will help our church family make disciples of our youth and young adults. We want to develop a discipling process that helps young people grow consistently as disciples and leaders, as they cross different life stages, while building partnerships between church, home and the community. While rooted in discipling middle & high school children, an emphasis will be on equipping parents to make disciples of their own children.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Born again believer with a maturing relationship with
- Demonstrated faithful pursuit of leadership characteristics as listed in 1 Timothy 3.
- A strong desire to serve God in the

- Able to plan, organize, and implement ministry
- Ability to raise up, disciple, equip and empower volunteers to join the ministry.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership of middle & high school youth programs which includes but is not limited to sustaining and developing a comprehensive growth strategy that encompasses Middle & High School Youth.
- Recruit, disciple, equip, and empower volunteers, both parents and others, to serve in the ministry.
- Ensure the youth groups maintain a balanced program of spiritual, physical, and social growth, ensuring that the youth are taught the importance of being a disciple of Jesus Christ and the responsibility to make disciples of others.
- Be acquainted with the personal lives of the youth in our church. For example, visit homes and attend school events. This also includes being aware of current youth development, culture, social media, etc.
- Foster partnership with parents/guardians through regular communication.
- Support and encourage youth to be regular attenders of our worship services by embodying the same in your own life.
- Encourage regular involvement of youth in the greater mission of the church by working collaboratively with fellow ministry staff members.
- Promote the vision of the church with regards to youth ministry.
- Pursue personal growth and development through continuing education.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Maintain a well-planned, carefully balanced program throughout the year coordinated with the church calendar of events.
- Assign ministry goals and periodically evaluate against those goals, measuring processes and outcomes.
