With a commitment to reaching the next generation, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Calvary Lewistown team as the Director: Next-Generation Ministries. 

Job Summary:

The Director of Next-Generation Ministries will play a key role in shepherding and guiding the spiritual development of children, youth, and college-aged individuals. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a heart for ministry, and the ability to inspire and equip volunteers to effectively minister to the next generation.  Our goal is to see this candidate become ordained, and then become the associate GP.

Responsibilities:

  • Ministry Department Oversight:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive ministry strategy for ages birth through college, ensuring a holistic approach to spiritual formation.
    • Create engaging and age-appropriate experiences that foster spiritual growth, discipleship, and community within each age group.
  • Volunteer Development:
    • Recruit, Equip & Deploy volunteers for various roles within the Next-Generation Ministries Department. 
    • Develop and conduct regular training(s) to help volunteers grow in their gifts and talents, providing resources for ongoing personal and spiritual development.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Next-Generation Ministries team(s), fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
    • Implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless coordination between different age groups within the ministry.
  • Community Care:
    • Provide “shepherding” care strategies and support systems to children, youth, and college-aged individuals and their families, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for spiritual growth. 
    • Establish and maintain relationships with parents, providing resources to support them in their role as primary spiritual influencers. 
  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Coordinate and oversee various events and activities, such as retreats, camps, and outreach initiatives, designed to engage and impact the next generation.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Collaborate with other church ministries to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to discipleship across all age groups.
    • Actively engage with the local community to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by the next generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a local church, para ministry or non-profit organization focusing on Next Gen.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within a church or ministry setting.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing young leaders.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of Calvary Church.
