Position Title: Director of Local Mission for Mobilization Ministry

Ministry Purpose:
- To maintain and communicate the mission of Fellowship Church and the values of Church Mobilization.
- To maintain a goal of excellence in the execution of the entrusted role(s).
- To create avenues for Fellowship Church congregation to engage with ministry partners.
- To make disciples by sacrificing of oneself to help others come to or become more like Jesus.
Position Summary:
The Director of Local Mission is a full-time hourly position that works as a part of the Mobilization Team to foster relationships and create avenues for our congregation to engage with local partners. This position works with the Pastor of Church Mobilization to create and manage the budget, coordinate outreach events, and oversee the Chosen Children initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mobilize our church body to be consistently engaged in regional partnership opportunities.
- Attend Church Mobilization Team Meetings
- Stay in communication with Local Mission Impact Partners.
- Regularly assess the impact and effectiveness of Local Mission Impact Partners.
- Keep accurate records of Partners, including contacts, ministry type, etc.
- Work with ministry area leaders to engage all areas of Fellowship with Partners
- Coordinate communication with ministry area leaders and team leaders so as not to overwhelm or overlook a partner.
- With the Pastor of Church Mobilization, create and manage an annual budget for Mission Impact Partners
- Connect with the Communications department to ensure all groups, teams, and ministry areas of the church are aware of Local and National mission opportunities, updating the website as needed.
- Oversee/coordinate outreach events. This includes staffing - paid and volunteer.
- Develop/implement orientation, training, and follow-up for teams who serve our Mission Impact Partners
- Oversee the Chosen Children initiatives including Foster Care, Kafcam, etc.
- Perform other duties as needed inside of the Church Mobilization Department
Qualifications:
- Full agreement to Fellowship Church’s statement of faith, vision, and philosophy.
- Two years of ministry or ministry-related experience.
- Skilled in communicating with others both one-on-one and in group settings.
- Adept in utilizing the Microsoft Office 365 suite or similar software programs.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
