Job Description:

Honey Creek Church is seeking a creative and self-motivated Communications Director to lead our communication efforts. This role involves managing the church’s website, social media, and digital and printed materials to effectively communicate our mission and events. The Communications Director will collaborate with leadership to create engaging content, anticipate communication needs, and ensure consistency across all platforms.

Communications Director (Part-Time)
Key Responsibilities

  1. Website & Social Media Management
    • Update website content and manage social media channels to engage and grow our audience.
    • Create and schedule posts, respond to inquiries, and track engagement.
  2. Design & Content Creation
    • Produce visually appealing posters, flyers, video announcements, newsletters, and graphic designs for events and church news. 
    • Develop and execute a communication calendar for regular, timely updates.
  3. Content Strategy & Planning
    • Work with ministry leaders to plan, promote, and recap events.
    • Anticipate communication needs for upcoming initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Skills: Proficiency in website management, social media, graphic design, and basic video editing. (Subsplash, Canva, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Attributes: Self-starter, organized, deadline-driven, with strong communication and design skills.
  • Creativity: Strong eye for design and the ability to create visually engaging content.
