 Position Title: Communications Director
Work Hours: Part-Time, 40 hours per week (additional hours during holidays and special events)

About Us:
At Hope Christian Church, we believe in the transformative power of the Gospel and the calling to share the love of Jesus Christ with the world. We are driven by the Great Commission, as Jesus instructed in Matthew 28:19-20, to go and make disciples of all nations. Our mission is to turn hearts, develop people, and advance the Kingdom of God in every sphere of life. As a Communications Director, your role will be rooted in this biblical calling—helping us communicate God's message of love, hope, and salvation to our congregation and community.

What You’ll Do:
The Communications Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every word we share, every story we tell, and every message we convey reflects the heart of Christ. You’ll oversee communication strategies that engage our congregation and invite the wider community to experience God's love, as expressed in Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world... let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

  • Strategic Communications:
You’ll develop communication strategies to help spread the message of Jesus in both our local church and the world beyond. Whether it's through our weekly newsletter or our online platforms, your work will echo Isaiah 52:7: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news.”

    • Create plans for outreach and partnerships that strengthen community relationships and build God’s Kingdom.
    • Manage and refine communication across various platforms, ensuring everything reflects the core values of faith, hope, and love (1 Corinthians 13:13).
  • Digital Strategy:
In an increasingly digital world, it is crucial that the church shines its light online, as well as in person. You’ll help us steward digital tools in ways that glorify God, following Proverbs 3:6: “In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

    • Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies to increase the reach of our message, ensuring that we are effectively serving and connecting with both believers and those seeking Christ.
    • Keep the website, social media, and other digital platforms updated with the gospel-centered content that inspires, informs, and invites people to encounter God.
  • Team Leadership:
As a servant leader, following the example of Jesus in Matthew 20:28, you’ll build, mentor, and lead a team dedicated to advancing the Kingdom through effective communication. You’ll recruit and develop a team of volunteers and staff, helping them grow in their gifts while serving the church.

    • Lead and train your team in the use of communications systems that will enhance how we connect and disciple people (Ephesians 4:12).
    • Provide oversight for graphic design, writing, social media, and more, ensuring that all work is done in a spirit of excellence as Colossians 3:23 instructs: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."
  • Public Relations & Media:
You will steward the church's reputation in the community
