I. Purpose: To provide leadership to the Echo Kids teams, curating and dispersing curriculum to team leaders, and to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations of the Children’s Ministry. To be the first point of contact for all internal and external operations of Echo Kids. To help grow team members in their personal walk with Jesus and develop team leaders.
II. Experience and Knowledge Required:
• Experience in problem solving
• Supervise multiple projects effectively
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• A love and calling toward ministry to children and families
• Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail.
• Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions, probe for understanding, and work in collaboration with others to achieve desired results.
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proof-reading skills to produce error-free documents
III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Curating new material for the Family Devotionals
• Curating life group material questions
• Copying and distributing all Echo Kids curriculum materials to the team leads
• Oversee all operations of Echo Kids, ensuring the success of the Sunday experience
• Directly oversee security and communication teams
• Respond to emails and phone call within 24 -hour time frame
• Work with Dream Team Coordinator to build the Echo Kids Dream Team, including assimilating new team members.
• Schedule teams on a monthly basis with reminders for team members on a weekly basis.
• Answer general phone calls in reference to Echo Kids inquiries
• Coordinate with departments and oversee special events through completion
• Participate in weekly department meetings to discuss enhancing the Sunday experience and upcoming events
• Oversee all programming and ministry for children ages birth – 5th grade, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, Summer Blast, and special events
• Researching & implementing upcoming curriculum
IV. Pastoral Responsibilities:
• Assist with pastoral care needs of the church. Partner with Life Groups on pastoral care issues and keep that leader apprised on all related issues.
• Be available as needed to assist in crisis situations, hospital visits, funerals, and/or weddings.
• Develop and raise up leaders within your department, walking with them through personal, professional, and spiritual goals.
• Assist at conferences/events as needed.
• Set an example by attending all church events.
• Assist pastors with difficult ministry situations.
• Schedule prayer warriors for each service each week.
• Communicate with staff current ministry needs within Echo Life
• Communicate with Life Groups when attendee is in need of ministry.
• Routine contact with Echo Life Partners.
