Emmanuel Church is a well-established, outward-focused, and financially-healthy non-denominational church in Cambria County, PA. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and Godly leader with a vibrant personality and mature faith to lead the 5th-12th grade
ministry. This ministry will reflect the vision and values of Emmanuel Church, embrace a missional mindset, and prioritize making disciples. Experienced and high-capacity leaders will be considered for immediate advancement to the role of Next Gen Director,
which is an executive-level position. Pay is competitive and includes full benefits.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Program Development and Leadership (40%)
- Plan, organize, and lead weekly student ministry gatherings, including Bible studies, worship services, and special events.
- Develop curriculum and resources for spiritual growth that align with the church’s mission and vision.
- Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders to assist in student ministry programs.
- Student Engagement and Discipleship (30%)
- Foster relationships with students to promote engagement and spiritual growth.
- Implement a discipleship program that helps students develop their faith and understand their identity in Christ.
- Create opportunities for students to serve within the church and in the community, emphasizing a missional mindset.
- Communication and Coordination (15%)
- Regularly communicate with students and parents through newsletters, social media, and announcements.
- Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate student ministry into the broader church activities.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, budgeting, and volunteer assignments.
- Outreach and Community Building (10%)
- Plan and execute outreach events aimed at reaching students in the local community.
- Build partnerships with local schools, organizations, and community groups to create opportunities for engagement.
- Encourage students to invite friends and participate in community events to promote growth and outreach.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend all staff meetings & Growth events
- Attend Emmanuel church-wide strategic events
- Attend weekly Sunday services
- Become a member at Emmanuel (Attend, Serve, Give)
- Attend student extracurricular activities.
Experience/Qualifications
- A clear testimony of ongoing spiritual growth, evidence of sanctification, and daily time in the Lord’s presence
- A high level of character and integrity within the community; above reproach
- Complete agreement with Emmanuel's doctrinal statements, mission, and vision
- Min. 2 years experience working in a ministry environment preferred
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in ministry, leadership, or similar preferred (experience may count in lieu of formal education)
- A clear “call” to ministry and alignment with Emmanuel’s cultural values
- Sound theological knowledge and ability to communicate the gospel clearly
- Able to manage staff and volunteers
