Overview: The Executive Pastor / Administrator is responsible for oversight of the First Alliance Facilities, Finances, Human Resources working closely with the groups that support these various areas and the Governing Board.
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Position Requirements: General - Have a real, mature relationship with Christ that is obvious to all that they come in contact with - Must be spiritually gifted in administration, organization and staff leadership - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Ability to develop and implement a plan to completion - Ability to excel in a changing environment of diverse scope and constituents - The ability to manage in a consensus decision making environment - Pastoral training and a business degree / experience are desirable but not required
Experience - Church or business leadership - Budgeting and financial analysis - Pastoral and Non-Pastoral Staff management - Track record of getting projects and tasks completed on time and on budget
Specific Responsibilities: Finance - Involved in the leadership of the Finance Committee - Act as the liaison between the Staff and the Finance Committee - Manage the the annual budget development process - Review monthly Budget versus Actual analyses - Hold the staff accountable for their spending against their budgets - Monitor the receipt and disbursement of all funds to insure that all of the established procedures are being followed and proper audit trail is maintained
Administration - Provide Primary decision making for the daily operation of the Church - Coordinate Church Calendar management - Oversee the development and maintenance of the Church Policies and Procedures handbook - Create staff meeting agendas, run the staff meetings and distribute meeting minutes - Directly supervise the pastoral and non-pastoral staff
Human Resources - Develop and maintain Job Descriptions for existing and future positions - Develop and maintain a Human Resources policy manual - Lead the effort to identify, interview and hire new employees - Facilitate communications and conflict resolution between staff members - Administer the setting and tracking of specific, measurable goals for each staff member to insure achieving the vision - Gather the necessary inputs and perform the annual performance reviews of staff members (except the Senior Pastor) - Recommend salary adjustments of the staff based on changes to job descriptions and performance evaluations.
