Position Description

  • Part-time, 30 hours per week.
  • Annual Salary, $50,000.
  • Pension and Medical $19,500, Auto expense $2,400, Study Leave $1,200

 

Pastor job description:

Northminster Presbyterian Church will look to the called pastor to teach the truth and authority of the Bible through corporate worship, guidance to the congregation on prayer and Bible study and provide encouragement on how best to serve our community and the world in reaching out to those in need.

 

  • Lead worship and preach at regular Sunday Services.
  • Arranges for substitute pastor as needed.
  • Coordinate with Choir Director, organist/pianist and Worship Committee in planning regular and special worship services.
  • Officiate at weddings, funerals and memorial services.
  • Call on sick, homebound and hospitalized members.
  • Provide counseling and pastoral care/advice to members.
  • Serve as Head of Staff providing administrative leadership.
  • Moderate Session and Congregational meetings.
  • Work with committees in settling objectives, implementing their plans and evaluating results.

Represent the church dealings with outside organizations
