East Vancouver Community Church (EVCC) is looking for an individual who is passionate about the Music and Youth of the local church. This person will be leading these teams in an exciting new season. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a self-starter, enthusiastic about the growth of a ministry, and is seeking a place to be mentored and cared for.
This position will require a firm grasp of the vision, beliefs, and values of EVCC, an appreciation for volunteer care and growth in Youth and Music, and being able to lead music effectively from an instrument. The Youth & Music Pastor will facilitate both Sunday services and Youth Group. They will work under the direction and leadership of the Lead Pastor.
MUSIC
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with Lead Pastor to design and execute worship services that are excellent and engaging.
· Serve as a primary worship leader for weekend services; prepare appropriate flow, transitions, and creative elements; manage and update plans in Planning Center
· Prepare for and lead volunteer teams with vision and excitement, including weekly rehearsals and other team gatherings.
· Recruit and develop worship and tech team members; regular contact and builds relationships
· Develop systems and processes that equip team members to serve with excellence, empower the implementation of the ministry’s vision, and help build the culture
YOUTH
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership and oversight of all aspects of student ministry (activities, worship, small groups, teaching, etc.)
· Consistently cast a compelling vision for a student ministry that reaches and disciples the next generation
· Develop and lead environments, activities, and experiences that enable and encourage spiritual growth in teenagers
· Pursues regular contact and builds relationships with students and their parents
· Supports and attends to, and assists the overall ministries at EVCC

Experience and Training:
- Minimum of 2 years leading music in church ministry
- Proficient leading with guitar
- Minimum 4 year Bible College Degree or equivalent
Hours & Pay:
· 40-50 hours a week salaried position
· $48-55k with a benefits package
