Youth Pastor

 

We are looking for someone who is hungry, passionate, and carries a burden to see the next generation awakened and empowered to follow Jesus! If that is you, with a desire to see students filled with the Holy Sprit and equipped to be resilient disciples then reach out to us about our position for a Next Generation Student Pastor.

We are a well established portable church located in Holly Springs, NC with a passion to Awaken and Empower others to follow Jesus.

Requirements:

  • Filled-with the Holy Spirit, active in spiritual gifts, proven effectiveness in discipling students, and a pioneer.
  • In full support of the vision and beliefs of Vertical Life Church 
  • Lives a lifestyle above reproach - spiritually, morally, ethically, relationally and financially
  • Believes in and is committed to the local church  
  • Called to youth ministry  
  • Relatable, trustworthy, energetic and creative 
  • Proven ability to relate with youth and adults 
  • Proven leadership qualities and experience working with and leading a team of people 
  • Self-motivated and able to positively respond to constructive feedback 
  • Social media awareness and engagement 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a youth ministry that is dynamic and engaging 
  • Facilitate gatherings for student discipleship and conversation 
  • Bring energy to connect with students 
  • Be a disciple-maker, pouring into students each week and encouraging them to bring a friend
  • Create biblically sound, culturally relevant, and spirit-led teachings 
  • Be actively interested in the lives of the youth by participating in school visits, outreach events and community events, etc.
  • Offer opportunities to attend larger events (concerts, camps, mission trips, youth conventions and retreats)
  • Recruit and develop volunteers to serve in youth ministry 
  • Maintain clear communication with youth volunteers, parents and students 
  • Develop and maintain a social media presence for communication and engagement with students and parents
  • Implement all policies and procedures in support of providing a safe environment for youth
  • All other assigned and agreed upon duties
