NonaKids Director - Moss Park Campus
REPORTS TO: Family Ministry Director
WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Family Ministry Director, Campus Pastor, NonaKids volunteers and families
SCOPE: The NonaKids Director oversees the entirety of the Sunday morning church experience for kids and families, partnering with parents, volunteers, and the broader staff team to equip families for discipleship.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position exists to oversee the entirety of the Sunday morning church experience at our Moss Park campus for kids (babies - 5th grade) and families. This includes recruiting, equipping, and caring
for a robust team of volunteers as well as overseeing the many details of an expansive ministry environment. Partnering with parents and the broader staff team, this person helps equip families and volunteer leaders for discipleship.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Volunteers:
- Recruitment
- Actively engage in new relationships in order to build a robust volunteer team.
- Communicate and champion NonaKids’ mission and values, focusing on consistent volunteers in small group settings.
- Care
- Maintain regular connections with volunteers in order for them to be known and valued.
- Celebrate volunteers and their unique contribution to NonaKids ministry.
- Create and maintain a volunteer connection and resource hub.
- Equip
- Lead pre-service huddles and communicate best practices and vision.
- Observe, evaluate and then train volunteers with skills necessary to be successful.
- Scheduling
- Manage Planning Center Online and train volunteers in appropriate usage.
- Ensure each environment is adequately staffed each Sunday according to NonaKids safety protocol.
Families:
- Discipleship
- Implement a strategy for partnering with parents/care-givers.
- Implement curriculum and processes.
- Teach and ensure high-standards and safe experiences.
- Support families in baptism, salvation, child dedication, etc.
- Care
- Lead effective systems for consistent follow-up and connection including prayer, encouragement, and celebration.
- Create and maintain interactive environments that are age-appropriate, safe, fun, and accessible to the community at large.
- Work closely with the Director of Students to ensure a strong transition from kids to student ministry.
- Connection
- Engage with new families and support assimilation.
- Promote and oversee engaging outreach opportunities.
- Implement and celebrate the vision, mission, strategy and cultural values of NonaChurch.

Hours: This is a full-time, director-level position.
