Position: Youth Director
Reports to: Campus Pastor

Position Overview:
Grace Covenant Mooresville Campus is seeking a dynamic and passionate Youth Pastor to lead
Student ministries. The applicant will inspire and guide our youth to deepen their relationship
with Christ while leveraging their skills in other areas.
The ideal candidate loves working with teens, is gifted in teaching and mentoring, and is excited
about serving the church in general. They will oversee the youth ministry (middle and high
school) and serve in other areas depending on their passions and gifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Ministry Leadership (60%):
• Lead and oversee the youth ministry (middle and high school), including developing a
vision and strategic plan for spiritual growth.
• Plan and facilitate weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and small groups.
• Join our other campuses to organize and lead youth retreats, mission trips, service
projects, and special events.
• Build meaningful relationships with youth, providing mentorship, counseling, and
spiritual guidance.
• Recruit, train, and support a team of youth ministry volunteers.
• Collaborate with parents to support and encourage the spiritual development of their
teens.
• Encourage youth involvement in worship, discipleship, and service within the church and
community.
Additional Misc. Responsibilities (40%)
• The applicant will also be responsible for additional responsibilities depending on their
giftings and the needs of the church.
• Provide pastoral care to families, offering spiritual, emotional, and practical support
during times of need.
• Worship Leading and/or A/V knowledge preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
• A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for working with youth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry, Theology, Christian Education, or related field
(preferred but not required).
• 2+ years of experience in youth ministry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Agreement with church doctrine.• Ability to connect with and inspire teenagers from various backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
• Self-motivated, with a heart for discipleship and a willingness to serve wherever needed.
Compensation:
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience. $38,000-$48,000 depending on
experience.
