ABOUT VILLAS WESLEYAN CHURCH

Villas Wesleyan Church is a growing and vibrant community committed to positively impacting our local area. We have an exciting opportunity as we renovate our sanctuary into a contemporary worship center. This renovation will include the installation of an 18’ x 10’ LED wall for worship and media, as well as a two-level sound booth and production/video room. This project provides a fantastic opportunity for media-driven worship leaders to bring their creativity to what promises to be a dynamic and engaging environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Villas Wesleyan Church seeks a passionate and creative individual with big energy to join our team as a full-time PASTOR/ DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE ARTS + WORSHIP. In this role, you will be pivotal in creating worship environments that inspire believers and draw non-believers to Jesus. The PASTOR/ DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE ARTS + WORSHIP will work under the guidance of our Lead Pastor, ensuring alignment with Villas Wesleyan Church's beliefs, values, and mission. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, creative, and committed to promoting a life of discipleship with Jesus Christ.

ABOUT THE PASTOR/ DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE ARTS + WORSHIP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead worship service(s) to help all people know God and serve others, thinking through the lens of someone new to church and far from God.
• Lead mid-week practice to ensure a high standard of musical excellence.
• Lead the worship planning process to create, plan, and implement worship experiences.
• Oversee recruiting, training, onboarding, scheduling, development, and care of the Worship Team.
• Develop, grow, and manage audio/visual experience and online production.
• Work closely with online and tech volunteers to implement and ensure excellence.

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• There will be room in the week for other responsibilities, and this position offers the ability to cater to your personal ministry interests and passions in any of the following developing areas:
• Lead/ Oversee Adult Discipleship
• Lead/ Oversee Youth Ministry
• Lead/ Oversee Connections Ministry
• Lead/ Oversee Family Ministry
• Lead/ Oversee Special Event Ministry
• Lead/ Oversee Video Production Ministry

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in weekly staff meetings, denominational activities/meetings, and special events as directed by the Lead Pastor.
• Attend the annual EXPONENTIAL Multiplication Training Retreat in Orlando with the Lead Pastor and other staff.
• Support other VWC ministry areas as needed.
• Participate in weddings, funerals, and other functions as needed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Can lead well vocally.
• Is energetic and passionate in worship.
• Able to use MultiTracks to fill out the musical experience in worship.
• Is articulate - who can feel comfortable on stage where it is natural for them to speak between songs, pray, set up different service elements, etc.
• Is creative - who can take the Lead Pastor’s “big idea” (given 4-8 weeks in advance) and creatively plan worship services using a variety of experiential elements centered around the big idea. Creativity over time is critical.
• Is a magnetic leader - who can lead the existing team well and draw new team members.

• Strong preference will be given to candidates who desire ordination and a place in The Wesleyan Church family.

• Proven administration and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Solid experience and ability to train and develop volunteers.
