Meadowbrook Church is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor who is spiritually and emotionally healthy and is excited to use their gifts to help us make disciples both in our church and in our community.
The man God is calling will be uniquely gifted to lead, develop, and equip leaders for family discipleship at Meadowbrook and will partner with our lead pastor to help us strengthen our discipleship pathway. They will have a heart to see men, women, and
children become more like Jesus and the unique ability to build and strengthen systems, processes, and leaders towards that end. Alongside the Lead Pastor and elders, they will give pastoral care to the community and will also preach semi-regularly. This role
will report to the Lead Pastor.
Full-Time, flexible schedule with some set hours (Sundays and staff meetings)
Salary Range: $75,000 – $115,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits Including Health Insurance, Retirement Matching, Personal Development Budget, and Paid Vacation and Holidays

General Requirements
- A disciple committed to following Jesus and to their own formation into His image
- A disciple who has made disciples of Jesus
- Qualified to be an elder according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
- Willing to join and engage with Meadowbrook Church as an active member
- Aligned with Meadowbrook’s theological beliefs, distinctives, and ministry vision
- Excited to partner together to pursue Meadowbrook’s vision to see our community “become more like Jesus together for the sake of our world.”
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years pastoral leadership experience
- Bachelors degree required; Seminary Degree preferred; but open to leaders God is calling who have taken a non-traditional path depending on experience
The Role
Family Discipleship at Meadowbrook
- Leads Family Discipleship Leaders (Meadowbrook K!DS Leader, Nursery & Preschool Leader, and Meadowbrook Youth Leaders) and partners with these key leaders to help us support parents and disciple kids of all ages.
- Gives attention and prayer to the health of these leaders and is committed to their personal discipleship.
- Develops and equips new ministry leaders in these areas as opportunity, need and circumstance requires.
- Partners with these leaders to help them carry out a compelling vision and plan for how we disciple kids and families at Meadowbrook and how we reach new kids and families in our community.
- Helps these leaders recruit, develop, equip, and empower servants for these discipleship efforts.
- Leads the summer internship program; recruiting, on-boarding, equipping, and overseeing a summer intern who serves with our youth team from June-August each year.
- Oversees the budget to support these ministries.
Discipleship Pathway at Meadowbrook
Meadowbrook’s discipleship pathway is an intentional path for how we form disciples of Jesus at Meadowbrook. From how we love and serve our neighbors and how we help not-yet believers first encounter Jesus to the places and spaces where followers of Jesus
are formed in the context of community; the discipleship pathway is a comprehensive plan for how we “become more like Jesus together for the sake of our world.” Key spaces for this pathway include our Sunday morning gathering, Meadowbrook Communities (i.e.-
community groups), and supplementary ministries like Men’s & Women’s Ministries.
For the Discipleship Pathway, the Associate Pastor will:
- Partner with the Lead Pastor to clarify and strengthen our discipleship pathway and recruit, develop, and equip key leaders for this pathway.
- Lead, develop, and support key leaders for our Sunday morning gathering space, particularly how we welcome others, how we help new people connect and take next steps, and how we practice hospitality in our gathering.
- Lead, develop, and support key leaders for our young adults, men’s, women’s ministries, and other ministries that supplement our Meadowbrook Communities.
- Partner with the Lead Pastor to lead and develop leaders for our Meadowbrook Communities, the primary space where we are spiritually-formed in community. Supports our Meadowbrook Communities and their leaders through coaching, equipping, and resourcing
as needed.
General Pastoral Responsibilities
- Partners with the Lead Pastor and elders to provide pastoral care and shepherding for the church.
- Preaches semi-regularly (6-12 x’s a year).
- Labors in prayer for the church.
- Performs other duties as assigned/needed by the Lead Pastor.

- Engage in staff development and staff rhythms for spiritual, emotional, and physical health
- Organized and demonstrates time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Pays attention to details while still being able to see the big picture
- Enjoys working with a team, collaborates effectively, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously in the process.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and use various software and digital tools.
