Technical Director

Vision for Position:

• Help to build the Know Love Live mission of Covenant in the Creative area of the church

• Work alongside Worship Pastor to equip and train sound techs and production volunteers to understand and execute that vision while striving towards excellence (Eccl. 9:10, Col 3:16, Col 3:23)

Overview of Position

The technical director (TD) will be responsible for everything that happens from a technical and audio perspective in the life of CCC. They will provide oversight and support for all church functions as well as outside private functions (compensated). This position requires a tech savvy, skilled individual who is a natural leader and can lead teams of people towards a common goal.The TD would provide baseline IT support on an as-needed basis. The TD would work closely with staff (especially Worship Pastor) to equip the church for the variety of needs related to events and daily function.

Major Responsibilities (Time Breakdown) 

65% 

Audio/Lighting/Production needs for all services and events at CCC (Sunday AM and Wednesday Nights). This would require the ability to run sound (AH Avantis Console) , program lights (ChromaQ Vista), and work with a livestream switcher (Black Magic Design). This would include assisting the Worship Pastor in service planning, stage design, and stage setup for rehearsals/services. TD would also be responsible for stage setup in the case of weddings, funerals, or other outside events.

IT/Website Upkeep/App Development; a general IT support for staff as needs come up; lead our IT Volunteer team;

Personal

• Have an intimate, growing, and evident walk with the Lord
• Be able to lead and disciple volunteer teams through personal relationships and modeling through action

Technical

• Be proficient in sound and lighting programming and technology (DANTE, Vista, Digital Sound Consoles)
• Have the ability to train and build up volunteers in these areas
• Maintain all technical equipment at CCC
• Seek out ways to improve in tech at CCC
• Have a baseline understanding of network setup and IT 
• Be proficient in most technology including ProPresenter, Subsplash, Projectors, and other Tech pieces
• Be willing to adapt and change as needs change at CCC
• Ideally be proficient in Video editing (Davinci Resolve or Premiere Pro) for different needs at CCC in Social media or services
• Be able to recognize and seek out solutions to technical issues that arise at CCC
