About Waters Edge Church

Waters Edge is a small church in West Knoxville affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America.  Initially established as a plant of Fellowship Church Knoxville in 2018, Waters Edge has grown to be a rooted, multigenerational community. We hope to be autonomous by the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year.

We currently meet in the A.L. Lotts Elementary school gym which we set up and tear down each Sunday for our service.  Our congregation is composed largely of families who live in the West Knoxville area, 90% traveling less than 10 minutes to attend service.  We currently have 57 members, 30 of whom are over age 40.  Regular weekly attendance typically ranges from 90 to 125 people.  Many of our congregants, including most of our youth, serve the church in some capacity: leading worship, setting up and tearing down our “sanctuary”, organizing events, facilitating youth gatherings, even occasionally teaching Sunday mornings.

Waters Edge is modest and informal but is fueled by deep relationships. The Lord is working in our people through a community weathering life together, gathering around tables, and sharing joy and hardship. We hope he will continue to work in and through those relationships, our church, and our city.
