The Associate Student Leader assists in the overall execution and implementation of student ministry at the Richmond campus, with primary focuses being the growth and discipleship of students and volunteer leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Oversee Middle School Small Groups and High School Home Groups
- Place new students into groups.
- Manage Planning Center Groups
- Problem-solve as needed for any groups issues
- Respond to crises shared within the group setting
- Meeting with students 1-on-1 outside of programming activities
- Partnering with parents to resource students in these situations
- Shepherd groups toward health and growth, ensuring they are well-equipped and well-led.
- Recruit, onboard, and care for Student volunteers.
- Recruiting, interviewing & placing new volunteers into leadership roles
- Regularly meet with leaders to support, encourage, equip, and challenge
- Collaborate with the CSL to train and equip leaders to serve effectively and in community
- Work alongside the CSL to plan, develop, and execute a spiritual formation plan for student team volunteers.
- Participate in culture-building/personal growth opportunities.
- Oversee processes and team to integrate new students into the ministry.
- Lead Student Experience Team
- Collaborate with the CSL to develop opportunities for existing students to invite new students into the church.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with schools and other community organizations serving students within Madison County.
- Assist in weekly Southland Students programming, including set up, tear down, and in-program elements
- Occasionally be expected to teach for student services.
- Contribute to and attend weekly student ministry team meetings to operate as a multi-site student ministry team successfully.
- Occasionally assist with teaching series content brainstorming and creation
- Collaborate with other Student Staff.
- Participate in the planning and execution of yearly Student Ministry trips and events and Summer Camps
- Mid-Year Student Retreats
- Other Events
- Participate in the life and ministry of the Richmond Campus and Southland at large
- Attend all Richmond Staff meetings
- Serve at local campus events and weekly worship services
- Serve and support, as needed, central church events such as conferences and outreach initiatives
- Assist fully in any leadership areas assigned.
