Youth Pastor

Position Summary

At Grace Church, leading the youth ministry is more than organizing events—it's about shaping the next generation of passionate Jesus followers. As Youth Pastor, you’ll design vibrant Sunday morning discipleship groups that deepen students' faith, and lead high-energy Wednesday night gatherings where youth experience authentic community. You'll inspire teens to live out their faith boldly, foster a culture of service and revival, and engage with students on their level—challenging them to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially within the framework of our mission to "Love Jesus, Build People, and Lead Revival.”

Reports to: Worship and Family Pastor

Primary Responsibilities

1. Lead Weekly Programs: Energize and guide Sunday morning discipleship groups and the primary the Wednesday night gathering, where students encounter Jesus and engage in fun, meaningful activities.
2. Spiritual Development: Create a Christ-centered environment where youth experience life-changing encounters with God and forge deep connections with one another.
3. Relationship Building: Cultivate authentic, lasting relationships with students, families, and volunteers, integrating them into the broader Grace Church community.
4. Volunteer Leadership: Inspire and equip volunteers to serve alongside you, building a committed team that fosters a safe, welcoming atmosphere for every student.
5. Special Events: Organize impactful retreats, service projects, and outreach events that ignite students’ passion for Jesus and reflect Grace Church’s mission to lead revival.
6. Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate, Christ-focused counseling to students and families, addressing their spiritual and personal challenges with biblical wisdom.
7. Communication: Leverage social media and digital platforms to engage students and parents, keeping them informed and excited about all youth ministry activities.
8. Collaboration: Partner with Grace Church staff to seamlessly integrate youth ministry into the broader vision and mission, ensuring that every aspect reflects the heart of the church.
9. Staff Oversight: Supervise a part-time administrator, providing guidance and ensuring effective support for the youth ministry's administrative needs.

General Responsibilities

1. Foster a genuine love for Jesus, personally.

2. Be present for staff meetings (unless other arrangements are made).

3. Maintain unity and honor people.

Qualifications

1. Expectation: A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for youth ministry reflecting Grace Church’s vision of being “a Jesus church where the gospel is central.”
2. Education: A bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field is preferred.
3. Experience: 2-3 years of experience leading youth ministry, with a proven ability to engage and disciple students.
4. Skills: Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with social media and digital tools is a plus.
5. Availability: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000, based on experience
