Executive Pastor
Reports to: Board
Qualification & Requirements:
- Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life.
- Has a personal spiritual life congruent with the biblical mandates for leaders found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
- Capable of creating and executing a long-term vision for Elk Creek Church.
- Called to ministry and has a passion for outreach, both personally and at a ministry level.
- Holds a degree from a Bible college or seminary.
- Is licensed and ordained to the gospel ministry.
- Exhibits strong, visionary, and servant leadership.
- In agreement with Elk Creek’s Statement of Faith.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure the mission, vision, and values of Elk Creek Church are implemented throughout the organization and ministries.
- Help to shape church and staff culture through effective communication that casts vision, creates unity, and advances the mission.
- Provide leadership, including pastoral and spiritual leadership, to staff and their families.
- Provide oversight and training for staff and ministry leaders.
- Manage the operation of the church
- Manage finances and develop stewardship and generosity in conjunction with Deacons
- Preach as needed based on discussions with the Lead Pastor and Board
- Provide specialized pastoral care when appropriate (funerals, weddings, hospital visits, etc.)
- Provide short-term individual counseling as needed
- Support, encourage, uplift, visit, and help those in our church and the community
Compensation:
- Starting salary $60,000-$70,000 based on education and experience.
