Communications Director

The Communications Director oversees the communications strategy of Flourishing Grace so that communication directed at the church and the community aligns with and effectively communicates Flourishing Grace’s mission, vision, and values. The Communications Director will lead all components of communications and marketing to inspire and motivate people to take next steps in their walk with Jesus as well as bring clarity to church messaging.

Candidate Qualifications

• Is a follower of Jesus passionate about using his or her skills to help others experience a flourishing relationship with Jesus.
• Is or is willing to become a Partner (member) of Flourishing Grace Church
• Has professional experience developing and managing marketing/communications strategies across multiple channels
• Has experience leading or assisting marketing/communications strategies at a local church
• Possesses excellent project management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Has experience being a healthy team member and enjoys working with multiple teams, including volunteer teams

Role Description and Responsibilities

Building and Implementing a Communications Strategy

• Use communication to remove barriers that keep people from connecting at Flourishing Grace.
• Become a student of the changing audience Flourishing Grace is trying to reach.
• Evaluate messages and materials in the context of guest perspectives.
• Work with staff and key stakeholders to clearly, winsomely, and accurately communicate next steps and ministry events to our church and our community.

Oversight and Execution of Communications and Marketing

• Design and manage the following communications avenues: web, social media, print, email/text, and in-person announcements.
• Build volunteer teams who assist in the execution of communications and marketing.
• Oversee, design, and work with staff to design art and promotional elements to be used across all communication avenues.
