Church Overview: West Zion Mennonite Church is a close-knit congregation that comes from the Anabaptist tradition and is a member of the Evana Network. We are seeking a pastor for our congregation who has a desire to reach the unchurched and extend an invitation to them to join us in our faith walk.
We are located in the town of Moundridge, Kansas. Our growing town of 2,000+ is centrally located on a main interstate I-135 between Wichita and Salina. Here are some observations offered by local citizens at a recent community building workshop: Moundridge is a vibrant community with a safe family-oriented atmosphere where everyone helps each other. We take great pride in our children, schools, churches and local community activities. Known for our farming heritage, Moundridge is a place where unity and community pride is ingrained within everyday life.
Qualities and traits: The lead pastor must have a committed personal relationship with Jesus Christ and affirm our vision and mission along with our Confession of Faith. Skills would include a biblically based preaching style, strong communication, administrative leadership, and pastoral care.
