Abiding Harvest Church is looking for a new Youth Pastor. We are a growing and loving community with over 350 members located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Our mission at Abiding Harvest is to make disciples, and our Youth Pastor will be responsible for the spiritual formation of our young adults between 6th and 12th grades. This position is full-time, with a flexible work schedule and a competitive salary.
We are looking for a qualified candidate with at least 3-5 years of experience serving as the Youth Pastor in a church with 500+ members. The ideal candidate will have strengths in administration helping them build and execute a ministry plan, the ability to make the word come alive to our youth, experience developing ministry leaders, and have a servant-leader approach to ministry.
Some of your tasks could include teaching the Sunday morning study for our Youth, going to a youth’s football game to show your support, coordinating a fun event for the youth, helping baptize the youth that receive Jesus through your ministry, or having a team meeting with your youth ministry leaders.

Youth Pastor Job Description
Status - Full-Time
Reports to – TBD, Senior Pastor, Operations Director, or Associate Pastor
Direct Reports – Youth Ministry Leaders
Compensation – Competitive Salary
Schedule – Flexible
Benefits – Medical Stipend Holidays 3-weeks paid vacation Office closed week after Christmas
Responsibilities:
1. Vision Casting
A. Develop, cast, and implement a vision for our youth ministry
2. Develop a Youth Ministry Discipleship Plan which is 3-6 months out
A. Sunday morning Youth Bible studies at 9am – 10am
B. Sunday night Youth Meal, Activity, and Service from 5pm – 7pm
C. Design and implement at least one impactful Youth event each month scheduling them 3-6months out.
D. Develop partnership with parents to help disciple their kids
3. Build and maintain relationships with the youth.
A. Going to special events in the life of our youth, like sporting events, birthdays, or other school events.
4. Develop Youth Ministry Leaders
A. Recruit, develop, and schedule Youth Ministry Leaders
B. Model and supervise Youth Ministry Leaders working with youth.
C. Meet with your Youth Ministry team once every two months
5. Staff Representation
A. Staff Meeting – Tuesday mornings 10am – 12pm
B. Church Council Meeting – quarterly
C. Meet with Staff Parish Committee Liaison as scheduled
D. Meet with Direct Supervisor as scheduled
6. Budget Management
A. Develop and manage annual Youth Ministry budget
B. Do expense reports and turn in monthly
7. Assimilation
A. Build strategies to engage our current youth and help reach out to our new guests who visit often.
