Next Generation Pastor/Director
The Next Generation Pastor/Director supervises Children’s Ministry, leads Youth Ministry, and will develop a Young Adult Program.
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life.
- Has a personal spiritual life congruent with the biblical mandates for leaders found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
- Capable of creating and executing a long-term vision for Elk Creek Church’s Next Gen Ministries.
- Called to ministry and has a passion for outreach, both personally and at a ministry level.
- Preferred to have a degree from a Bible college or seminary.
- Preferred but not required to be licensed and ordained to the gospel ministry.
- Exhibits strong, visionary, and servant leadership.
- In agreement with Elk Creek’s Statement of Faith.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and organize effective Next Generation, birth through young adult, programs implementing fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism.
- Recruit and train volunteers with diverse gifts and personalities.
- Manage, organize, and plan youth group nights and youth events.
- Create and maintain a Young Adult program with the goal of integrating young adults into the Adult Ministry of Elk Creek Church.
- Provide counseling and spiritual direction to young people on an individual basis.
- Support Elk Creek’s parents in effectively fulfilling their Christian parenting roles, in concert with other pastoral staff.
- Supervise and work with the Children’s Ministry Director.
Compensation:
- Starting salary $40,000-$55,000 based on education and experience.
