The Crossway Community Church of Harrison, Ohio is searching for their next Senior Pastor. This is a moderate-conservative American Baptist Church which was founded in 1989. Crossway is a warm loving congregation with a passion for the teaching-preaching of God's Word, love for community, desire to share the Gospel, and participate in mission outreach. Pastoral candidates should have a minimum of a bachelors degree in a ministry related degree, but preferrably a masters degree from an ATS accredited seminary. This Profile of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio has been thoughtfully prepared by the Pastoral Search Committee as
an aid in seeking our new Senior Pastor. We believe that this profile provides an accurate historical and current representation
of First Baptist Church as well as a projection of our future needs. It is a composite of our beliefs, membership, financial
position and history. It looks at our past, our accomplishments, our present situation, and our vision for the future of our
church. We are not a perfect people, but we do know without a doubt that God is at work in our body. We have much to offer
the lost, the seeking, and the saved.
Our church is larger than the average American Baptist Church (ABC-USA). The Senior Pastor position is both challenging
and demanding, but not without rewards. We have a relatively large staff compared to many churches our size, a wide age
diversity within our congregation, a growing children’s program, and two (2) Sunday morning services (Traditional and
Modern). In addition, we have a sincere desire to grow, serve, and evangelize within Hamilton and the surrounding region.
We are now looking to the future of our church. Our Search Committee is charged with the responsibility of finding a Senior
Pastor who is a man of God, who believes as we do: in a strong Christ-centered pulpit ministry; a conservative Biblical
theology; and an evangelistic outlook. We seek a Senior Pastor, chosen of God, who will lead and challenge our membership,
