Family Ministries Pastor - Evangelical Free Church of Chico

The Family Ministries Pastor works in cooperation with the Lead Pastor and champions marriages and families. The unique function of this position is to be the key advocate of parents and families and to imagine and implement new ideas and methods of evangelism. Our ideal pastor will be able to build a high-impact Marriage and Family Ministry that can serve hundreds of children and people at various stages of marriage, pre-marriage, and family life. This strong leader will be coordinating with all ministries within the church while overseeing the children’s ministry to make the biggest strategic impact on households and to ensure that people in the community are being reached and cared for. This person will have a firm grasp of the church’s purpose, values, and strategy as they lead these ministries at EFCC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Lead Pastor to develop and implement a plan for ongoing parent discipleship, marriage enrichment, and encouragement in collaboration with EFCC ministries.
• Recruit, develop, and enable a family ministry team, including training and team-building opportunities.
• Serve as the primary leader and host of the marriage ministry
• Develop and implement a church-wide vision to meet the needs of married & pre-married couples, strengthening marriage and developing oneness in their relationships.
  • Oversee a collaborative and innovative team that builds a fun and effective ministry for children and their families
  • Ensure children’s ministry curriculum, teaching, and culture is in line with EFCC’s beliefs, purpose, and mission.
