Among Milledgeville's notable landmarks is Northridge Christian Church, an integral part of the community for over a century. Originally established in the Hardwick Community, the church relocated to northern Milledgeville in 2008. Today, it thrives with an average weekly attendance of 1,500 worshipers. Northridge Christian Church's mission is to help people take their next steps closer to Christ. 

JOB SUMMARY   

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Groups to join our Adult Discipleship team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering spiritual growth through small group community and a passion for communicating God’s word as a regular part of the teaching team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Small Group Leadership

  •    Develop and oversee a comprehensive community group ministry.
  •    Create promotional materials for community group awareness, importance, and getting connected. 
  •    Recruit, train, and support community group leaders.
  •    Monitor and influence community group environments to foster community and spiritual growth. 
  •    Create curriculum and resources for community group studies.

Community Building

  •    Foster a sense of community and belonging within the church through small group community
  •    Organize church-wide events that bring small groups together
  •    Develop strategies to integrate new members into the small group ministry

Adult Discipleship

  • Collaborate with the Adult Discipleship team to create, implement, and evaluate strategies for Adult Discipleship Ministries.
  • Collaborate with the Adult Discipleship Team to provide resources and strategies for community groups to serve together both in and outside the church. 
  •  Facilitate leadership development programs for emerging leaders.

Administration and Reporting

  •    Maintain accurate records of community group participation and growth through our church database.
  •    Provide regular reports on the health and impact of the community group ministry.
  •    Manage the budget for the community group ministry.

  • Support and cast vision of the church and other ministry areas.
  • Exemplify “Northridge Staff Values” and adhere to the content in the “Employee Handbook.” 
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in group ministry or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of adult discipleship methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology for ministry purposes (e.g., church management software, video conferencing tools, website management).
