Direct Report: Vizion Kids Director
Position Status: Part Time (20 hours)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Part-Time Children's Director at our Independence Campus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in ministry or education, and a strong ability
to inspire and lead volunteers. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children, coordinating with volunteers, and ensuring that our programs align with the mission and values of our organization.
Role Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with Vizion Kids.
- Provide ongoing guidance and encouragement to ensure a positive volunteer experience.
- Have bimonthly one-on-ones with campus specific team leads.
- Child Safety and Welfare:
- Implement and maintain child safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all volunteers and staff adhere to safety guidelines and background check requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents about program updates, events, and their children's progress.
- Maintain records related to attendance, volunteer schedules and making sure Planning Center is uptodate.
- Prepare reports and evaluations of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Campus Specific Ownership:
- Making sure the curriculum is being followed in each classroom.
- Resetting each classroom after Sunday services end.
- Making sure the campus has the lesson plan materials/prep.
- Work closely with other ministry leaders and staff to integrate children's programs with overall church activities.
- Participate in a weekly Vizion Kids meeting and contribute to the strategic planning of the ministry.
- Establish culture of worship at Vizion Church
- Encourage team members to attend church when not scheduled.
- Encourage team to be engaged and connected outside of their classroom ministry
- Work with Vizion Kids Director / church leadership on special events.
- This position is a mandatory reporter in accordance with North Carolina State Legal Code
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a ministry or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
- Basic proficiency in Planning Center and familiarity with digital tools for communication and organization.

Schedule (20 hours per week Total):
Sunday: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Monday: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (2nd & 4th Monday a month)
Wednesday: Varies By Week
