Job Description:

Our Savior's Way Lutheran Church is seeking a Director of Leadership and Connections.

This person will manage the member journey, develop leadership initiatives, and oversee design and communications. In addition, they will provide ministry support for discipleship and worship. This role combines hands-on ministry, strategic planning, creative design, and administrative oversight to enhance the spiritual growth and engagement of our congregation. A key aspect of this position will be recruiting, training, and developing teams of volunteers to support these efforts.

The Director of Leadership and Connections will take on three key responsibilities:

  1. Leadership Development: This person will help identify, train, and support new leaders within our church, ensuring that we have a steady pipeline of Christ-centered servants ready to make an impact for His kingdom here and around the world.
  2. New Member Shepherding: A big focus of this role will be helping new members find their place in the life of the church. From their first visit, through joining the congregation, and into meaningful service, we want to create a clear and welcoming pathway that makes it easy for people to get connected and grow. Whether it’s through small groups, ministries, or volunteer opportunities, we want to ensure that new members feel at home and are able to fully engage within the life of our church.
  3. Communications Management: As we continue to grow, it’s critical that our church speaks with one clear, unified voice. This new role will oversee all our internal and external communications—from sermon graphics and ministry logos to social media and digital outreach—ensuring that everything we share is aligned with our mission and values.

Work hours are flexible and include in-person and remote work during the week as well as evenings and weekends. The person selected must be willing to become a member of Our Savior's Way, and must pass the background check and tuberculosis screening required by the State of Virginia.

Resumes and cover letters are being accepted until October 14th.
