Windsor Chapel, a small, committed body of believers associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America, seeks a pastor to lead the congregation. The church values Biblical teaching, outreach, and a welcoming atmosphere. Key strengths include a dedicated membership, a substantial facility, and a strategic location within the greater Princeton area: a community that is largely unreached with a diverse population that is committed to educational excellence. Situated between New York City and Philadelphia, residents have access to almost unlimited cultural events.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to build relationships and encourage and inspire spiritual growth. Key growth opportunities include missional focus, community engagement, expanding outreach, revitalizing youth programs, and partnering with other congregations. He will be passionate about leading Windsor Chapel into a new era of spiritual vitality and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Leadership:
- Preach and Teach the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit (Col 1:25-29).
- Oversee, along with the Elders, the various ministries.
- Coordinate engaging worship services that foster a deep connection with God.
- Disciple and mentor the church, through building and equipping leadership teams and providing pastoral care and counseling to members.
- Shepherd the church by ensuring that Windsor Chapel is a safe place to heal, grow, and minister.
- Fulfill the role of the primary public face of the church.
- Collaborate with church leaders to ensure efficient and effective church operations.
- Vision and Direction:
- Work collaboratively with church leadership to:
- effectively implement and oversee an evolving strategic vision for the church's growth and ministry.
- oversee and guide various church ministries, ensuring they align with the mission of the church.
- identify and develop future leaders within the church.
- Community Engagement:
- Represent the church in the local community, building relationships and fostering outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to a theology, as represented by our statement of faith (see link below).
- Character qualities, appropriate training, and spiritual gifts consistent with 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9.
- A Shepherd’s heart, consistent with 1 Peter 5:1-4.
