Middle School Youth Coordinator (male)

General Scope of Position 

The Middle School Coordinator performs a variety of duties within the Middle School Youth Ministry.  This position includes support through data, social media, and event management, while also helping lead male students and volunteers.  

Organization Structure

The Middle School Coordinator will report to the Middle School Pastor. The coordinator will work collaboratively with other departments, volunteers, and vendors. 

Responsibilities

The Middle School Coordinator has the opportunity to be deeply involved in the lives our of students, the ministry of the church and its outreach to the community through:

•        Ministry Platform management/data entry

•        Small group/devotional prep

•        Leading small group for male students

•        Resource management

•        Help lead male volunteer teams

•        Room prep

•        Invoice management

•        Social media management

•        Administrative support for events/retreats

•        Other responsibilities needed to further mission/vision

Skills and Abilities Needed

·        Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and have a lifestyle that demonstrates obedience

·        Committed to the core values of Central (must attend Central Community Church)

·        Good ‘people’ skills for relating to co-workers, volunteers, church members and guests

·        Ability to perform services independently, without direct supervision, as well as work cohesively within a team environment

·        A positive attitude at all times and a non-anxious presence under pressure

·        Attention to detail and accuracy 

·        Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

·        Basic understanding of office organization, operations, software and methods

·        A demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive confidential church information

·        Excellent organization skills

Education and Experience 

·        Preferably 2-5 years of experience in youth ministry

·        Possess an undergraduate degree, at a minimum

Time and Physical Requirements 

·       This position could be part-time or full-time depending on the availability and ability of our candidate 

·       Flexible schedule to meet the needs of a growing ministry

·       Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
