Job Description:

Resurrection GMC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Worship Leader who passionately loves Jesus to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of musical excellence, exceptional vocal and instrumental skills (piano/guitar), and aptitude for recruiting and developing worship teams. This role is crucial for leading our congregation in worship, enhancing the spiritual experience, and fostering a vibrant and engaged worship community. Resurrection GMC worship style is modern/contemporary but firmly rooted in the historical proclamations of worship (hymns, creeds, liturgies). As such, the ideal candidate will be able to utilize these historical proclamations in a style that blends with the modern worship style.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Worship Services: Direct and lead worship services with excellence, ensuring a spirit-filled and engaging experience for the congregation.
• Musical Excellence: Utilize exceptional vocal and instrumental skills to deliver high-quality music. Demonstrate proficiency in guitar or piano and maintain a strong personal and professional standard of musical performance. Able to lead worship using traditional hymns and modern worship styles.
• Team Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, and develop a diverse and skilled worship team, including musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders. Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence within the team.
• Worship Planning: Plan and organize worship services, including song selection, arrangements, and rehearsals. Incorporate feedback and continuously innovate to enhance the worship experience. Collaborate with pastoral staff to align worship with sermon themes and church vision.
• Administration: Manage schedules and ensure effective communication with church leadership, staff, and volunteers.
• Spiritual Leadership: Provide pastoral care and spiritual support to team members. Mentor and encourage their growth both musically and spiritually.
• Community Engagement: Engage with the congregation and community to understand their needs. Engage in programs and events that foster community involvement and spiritual growth

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Worship Leader with demonstrated success in leading worship and managing worship teams is preferred.
• Musical Skills: Advanced proficiency in guitar and/or piano and exceptional vocal abilities. Ability to lead worship across various musical styles and genres, including traditional hymns.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in recruiting, training, and developing worship teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers and team members.
• Education: Undergraduate degree, Worship Arts training, and/or Theological training are preferred. Equivalent experience and training will be considered.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using worship planning software, audio equipment, and sound engineering is a plus. The ideal candidate should be highly relational and able to communicate consistently and effectively with church leadership and the teams they lead.
• Personal Qualities: Strong Christian faith and commitment to the mission and values of Resurrection GMC. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for worship and community engagement.
