Children’s Director/Pastor

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for this position must be committed to Christ and have a desire to please Him daily. Must have a love for children and families and be friendly and caring towards others. They also must be a good communicator and possess strong organizational and leadership skills. Additionally, they must have the ability and desire to build and lead a volunteer staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have training and experience directing a Children’s ministry (paid or volunteer). A degree is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø To oversee the ministry for children Birth thru 5th grade including both Sunday morning services (60-80 children split between the two services), KSA (Kids Summer Adventure), special events, etc.

Ø Choose appropriate curriculum for each grade level

Ø Create an environment for learning and spiritual growth in creative ways

Ø Recruit, train, and lead teams of volunteers

Ø Maintain a strategy for reaching new families and children who do not attend church

Ø Oversee the Upward Program at the church (basketball/cheerleading)

The candidate must fully embrace the vision of L?fePoint Church, have a desire to be part of the team, be willing to learn, be reliable, committed, and self-motivated, and they need to have a willingness to change, adapt, and be creative as it relates to ministry.

COMPENSATION

Salary will be based on experience and education. This is a full-time position.
