Job Title:  Lead Pastor

Position Status:  Full Time

Position Description:  

The role of the Pastor is to lead and shepherd the congregation, as well as assist the Elders/Overseers in the administration of the life and ministry of the Church.  The Pastor shall have a firm grasp on the purpose, values, and strategy of the Church and shall possess the ability to align and guide church staff and key leadership teams in pursuit of that mission.  The Lead Pastor will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support its ministry activities.

The Lead Pastor must display the Godly characteristics of spiritual maturity both in his private and public life.  They should be approachable and committed to Biblical solutions to problems that arise in the church.   The Pastor should be committed to personal growth, regularly investing in the increase of their knowledge of God and his Word, as well as improving their skills, abilities and gifts in ministry.

  • Ability to Preach and Teach the Word effectively
  • Lead the Church in the development and pursuit of a God Honoring Vision for its ministry in the World
  • Shepherd and Lead all Staff and Key Leaders toward accomplishing the Vision of the Church.
  • Connecting with and Serving a Wide Age Range of People
  • Connects and is Involved in the Community
  • Managing Their Schedule Effectively
  • Able to Provide Biblical Counseling and Pastoral Care as needed.
  • Ability to Develop Leaders and Delegate Tasks to Others.

Reports to:  The Elders/Overseers & the Conference Superintendent

Pastor Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of active ministry within a Church or Para-church organization. 
  • Graduate Level Degree - (Would potentially consider someone who is presently pursuing education or is willing to pursue Seminary training or Central School of Ministry)
  • Recommendation from present Church/Pastor.
