We are looking for a pastor who can take on various shepherding responsibilities. One role would be part-time Student Ministries Pastor. To make it into a full-time roll, you would need to be the Minister to KidZone or Worship Leader, and an Associate Pastor. In the Minister to KidZone roll, you would organize and actively shepherd the volunteers in children’s ministry, plan children’s events, and choose curriculum. You don’t need to have children’s ministry experience, just be able to organize, shepherd volunteers and love people. In the Associate Pastor roll, you would coordinate a variety of occasional activities, classes, and groups, as well as share some of the preaching. You don’t need to have years of experience doing these things, but do have to show some competency, the willingness and ability to learn, and have a shepherd’s heart. You could already be a competent preacher, or just want to explore possible gifting at preaching and be mentored in this.
Student Ministries Pastor would include the following:
• Coordinate fun for Sunday night student meetings, and special events
• Teach the students at Sunday night meetings – expositional and interactive
• Disciple students
• Shepherd volunteers
• Coordinate a student mission each year
• Attend staff meetings
• Meet with the lead pastor for direction and mentoring
Hours per week is flexible. We value you continuing your education, if you are pursuing that. Compensation will be based upon hours per week, responsibilities, and experience.
