Christ Community Church is looking to hire a Director of Student Ministries for full-time ministry.
Job Description
The Director of Student Ministries is a full-time position at Christ Community Church. The primary role of the Director of Student Ministries is to oversee planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive student ministry for grades 6-12, with the ultimate goal of leading middle and high school students to be fully devoted followers of Christ. This position reports to the Executive Director of Next Gen. This position also works closely with the Student Ministries Associate.
Objectives
- Facilitate students’ active participation in the Body of Christ
- Engage familles in the life and discipleship of their students
- Lead students in their pursuit of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Guide, teach, and disciple students as they grow in their faith, equipping them to share the Gospel in their spheres of influence
- Build community among students, fostering a relational, inspirational, and invitational culture
Duties
- Spiritual Leadership/Discipleship
Provide spiritual guidance and mentorship to middle and high school students, walking with them as they grow in their relationship with God and navigate life’s challenges from a biblical perspective
- Group Leadership
Lead and oversee regular youth group meetings. Promote a relational and inspirational environment in which students are challenged to respond to God’s call to serve in their communities. Grow the student ministry by fostering an invitational culture and by pursuing students outside weekly ministry events
- Event Planning and Coordination
Work with the Student Ministries Associate to organize and facilitate weekly programming as well as various youth events, retreats, missions trips, and special activities
- Teaching
Plan curriculum, prepare and deliver engaging and relevant teachings and lessons that effectively communicate biblical truths to students in a relatable and understandable manner
- Volunteer Recruitment and Training
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers who will assist in student ministry activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for young people
- Relationship Building
Build positive and meaningful relationships with students, their families, and the church community, fostering a sense of belonging, trust and support
Build personal connections with students by engaging in conversations, written communication, support of the students at activities outside of CCC, and planning occasional social events
Develop relationships with the parents of students involved in the student ministry, learning about their families, fielding concerns, and helping facilitate student involvement in church ministries
- Administrative Tasks
Handle administrative duties related to student ministry, such as budget management, communication with parents and coordination with other church staff members. Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Collaborate with and participate in church-wide activities, including but not limited to services, special events, holiday gatherings, etc.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisor (Executive Director of Next Gen)

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or above in theology, biblical studies, youth ministry, or a related field from an accredited institution
- An authentic, personal, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by habits of spiritual discipline and obedience to a Christ-centered understanding of Scripture
- Fully aligned with CCC’s Statement of Faith, mission, vision, and values
Benefits / Schedule
- Full-time, Sunday-Thursday work week
Multiple evenings a week will be expected on a seasonal basis [Current schedule: middle school (stylized “Impact”) meets Tuesday evening, high school (stylized “Summit”) meets Sunday evening]
- On-site with option of one work-from-home day per week (as agreed upon with Exec. Dir. of Next Gen)
